The Woolmark Company, Savile Row tailors and the gentlemen’s houses of St James’s combined contribution to this year’s London Collections: Men gave birth to a short film highlighting the year-round versatility of Merino wool. The film is a reminder of the fact that London is the world capital of masculine style, and has been for over two centuries.

Ed Stoppard stars where we see him prepare for his trip to Rio, visiting Savile Row and also John Lobb, Lock & Co., Emma Willis, Turnbull and Asser, Edward Green , Fosters & Son and Budd Shirtmakers around the Jermyn Street area, to create the ultimate Cool Wool wardrobe. His character commissions bespoke pieces including a multi pocket and versatile wool travel jacket, a lightweight Cool Wool dinner suit, wide leg Cool Wool trousers in the season’s bright colours, a navy blazer and a cream suit with patch pockets. In the film you can also see him visiting Duke’s Hotel, Henry Sotheran’s and Globe Trotter.
