On Tuesday around the corner from Jermyn Street an array of celebrities descended upon Mayfair’s Curzon Cinema for the exclusive premiere of the new docu-film, A String Of Naked Lightbulbs, which explores the history of one of London’s most iconic nightclubs, Annabel’s.
The docu-film, which is executive produced by Ridley Scott and Kate Driver and directed by Greg Fay, tells the story of the world renowned nightclub from the past five decades, with fascinating anecdotes from the likes of Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell and Nicky Haslam.

Guests including Harry Styles, Kate Moss, Grace Jones, Nick Grimshaw, Jade Jagger, Poppy Delevingne, Alice Temperley, Charlotte Tilbury, Graham Norton, Katy England, Bobby Gillespie, Leah Wellah, David Gardner, Annabelle Neilson, Mary McCartney, Saffron Aldridge, Nicky Haslam, Jack Fox, Lord Bell, Ben Elliot, Martha Ward, Kim Hersov, Barry Reigate, Mel B, Jamie Winstone, Noel Gallagher and Sara Macdonald, Suki Waterhouse, Mark Ronson and Josephine De La Baume all went onto an exclusive after-party at the haunt for the rich and famous, with an electrifying performance from Annabel’s favourite Grace Jones, followed by a DJ set by Kate Moss.
VIPs enjoyed dinner and drinks, including Chivas regal, Perrier-Jouet and Absolut Elyx. Taking to the stage first, Grace Jones delighted guests with four of her much loved classics such as “Pull Up To The Bumper” and “Slave To The Rhythm” to the elite crowd of members, influencers and celebrities, some of which were featured in the Docu-Film. Kate Moss then took to the decks to spin some her favorite tunes, much to the delight of the adoring crowd who danced long into the early hours of the morning.
