Quaglino’s, Club D&D and Penfolds winery have joined forces to bring you a very special wine dinner experience as part of April’s Wonderful Wines of Aus festival, held in their very beautiful Giovanni Room on Thursday 30th April.
Guests are invited to join Quaglino’s for the evening, which will be hosted by Penfolds winery; one of the biggest names in Australian wine and certainly one of the most respected.
Its top wine, Grange was first made in 1951 and over the following 60 years has become one of Australia’s most celebrated wines and is now officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia.
A representative from this world class Australian winery will talk you through each of their stunning wines, the highlight being Penfolds Grange and also including Penfolds Bin 311 Chardonnay, Penfolds Cellar Reserve Chardonnay, Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz Mourvedre, Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz, Penfolds Cellar Reserve Sangiovese, Penfolds Father Tawny.
These have all been chosen to pair perfectly with the exquisite 6 course tasting menu, created especially for the occasion, by their extremely talented Executive head chef, Mickael Weiss, who is pictured below.
The evening will start at 7pm and costs £90 per person, including a 6 course tasting menu with paired Penfold wines. Places are limited so please email Hannah to register your interest for this event or call 07525 594 177.
We attended the last wine tasting, where Yealands Estate hosted and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Here are a few pictures of the event below.
