The Richard James Spring/Summer ’16 ‘My Green Trauma’ collection cuts a seductively serpentine path through the verdant thick of the Mexican jungle to Las Pozas, the fabulous far-off folly that was the creation of the quintessentially English poet and surrealist Edward James. My Green Trauma was what James called the jungle.
Pieces are inspired by the unmapped Sierra Madre oriental mountains with use of so many warm colours.
Its a vibrant colour drenched collection which brings a cheerful element to London Collections: Men.
Cool wool and breathable, tropical weight wool and mohair are ideal for the summer climate making the collection easy to wear.
Wool and linen and wool and cotton blends give tailoring and casual wear a lightness and real depth of texture.
Prints are playful and plentiful and feature jungle flower camouflage, bamboo and hallucinating spots in the spirit of the jungle.
Base colours of petrol, emerald green and navy anchor fresh piercing accents of blood red, turquoise and orange.
