Last night, The Serpentine Galleries and luxury department store Harrods proudly presented the Future Contemporaries Party 2016, an annual fundraiser that brings together leading young artists, philanthropists and supporters to raise funds for the Serpentine’s acclaimed art, architecture, design, education and public programmes.

A highly anticipated night on London’s social calendar, the party, held during London Fashion Week, took place in the Zaha Hadid designed Serpentine Sackler Gallery and featured a spectacular line-up of live performances.

British musician Jack Peñate entertained the crowd and debuted new songs from his forthcoming third album. Sets from renowned DJs Lou Hayter, Andrea Griffin, GazMayall and 2ManyDjs kept the dance floor packed long into the night.

Guests included Edie Campbell, Quentin Jones, HRH Princess Eugenie of York, Alice Naylor-Leyland, AdwoahAboah, Chelsea Leyland, Gizzie Erskine, Dominic Jones, David Adaje,Tigerlily Taylor, Alice Dellal, Eliot Sumner, Derek Blasberg, Ellen von Unwerth, Tom Hooper, Lily Donaldson and Lady Kitty Spencer.

Partygoers interacted inside a curated installation exclusively assembled for the event, designed by award-winning artist and architect Alessandro Bava, and a speakeasy bar featuring a brass bar – inspired by those in the Harrods Food Halls – and featuring live acoustic music. Gazing eyes enjoyed text from a specially commissioned story by American author Alexandra Kleeman, which was projected throughout the Gallery.

Kofler&Kompanie provided incredibly moreish buttermilk fried chicken and Scottish salmon ceviche canapés, which were served with pizzas slices from the Pizza Counter and Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream courtesy of Whipsmith and Petit Fours by Harrods. The tipple of the night was Stolichnaya Elit Vodka Cocktails & Harrods Grand Reserve Champagne.
