Diego Biasi, Founder of the Quercus Foundation, hosted a pre- Wimbledon cocktail celebration at Hotel Cafe Royal on Regent Street to announce global tennis star Ana Ivanovic as the new ambassador of the Quercus Foundation.
The event marked the beginning of Ana Ivanovic’s involvement with the Quercus Foundation, lending her support as they raise the necessary awareness and funds to improve the lives of children and young people living in extreme poverty.
The pre-Wimbledon celebratory event guests included; Ana Ivanovic, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Yasmin Le Bon, Simon Le Bon, Danny Huston, Heather Kerzner, Tania Bryer, Tilly Wood, Paul Sculfor and Ozwald Boateng.
Guests at the event were welcomed into the beautiful Ten Room at Hotel Café Royal by entertainers, ‘The Hedge Men’ before walking into a room filled with the sweet sound of singer Jessica Sweetman singing jazzy summer numbers throughout the evening.
The star of the evening, Ana Ivanovic, arrived with German footballer beau Bastian Schweinsteiger, the glamorous sporting pair looked effortlessly chic, with Bastian in a grey suit and Ana wearing a beautiful black Herve Leger dress paired with a sparkling diamond Gismondi 1754 necklace.

Midway through the evening guests turned their attention to founder of the Quercus Foundation, Diego Biasi as he took to the stage in the Ten Room to introduce Ana Ivanovic as the new Quercus Foundation Ambassador.

During her speech Ana commented “I am proud to be an Ambassador for the Quercus Foundation. I know how important it is for children to have a dream and I admire and am inspired by Diego Biasi and the Quercus Foundation who are working to make dreams possible for children in need in underprivileged areas”
As the summer sun set on London, guests wound down while listening to the jazz before leaving with goodie bags of Hotel Cafe Royal’s own-made Wimbledon themed Macaroons, Shiseido lipstick and signed tennis ball as a momentum of the evening!
